Mission
Bella's Tail Waggin' Rescue is a non-profit 501c3, volunteer organization serving the Southeast Region of South Carolina. We are dedicated to saving dogs of all breeds and ages who are abused, abandoned, or at high-risk for euthanasia in shelters. Our organization is committed to reducing the amount of unwanted and homeless animals by promoting spaying and neutering of all dogs. We rehabilitate these dogs until they are healthy and ready to live in their adoptive home. We have a small sanctuary located in Branchville, SC where we keep our adoptable dogs.
History
Our founder, Tori, has always had a soft spot in her heart for neglected, abused or abandoned dogs. It was not unusual to see Tori rehabilitate and rehome animals in need. Bella, a young chihuahua, was on the euthanasia list at a small shelter in California. Tori saw her picture and knew then, Bella was meant to be hers. Tori set up for this tiny dog to be pulled from the shelter and then transported across the country to South Carolina. Seeing people come together over the life of one six pound dog changed Tori’s style of thinking; so in 2015, Bella’s Tail Waggin’ Rescue was born. To this day, we have successfully saved over 200 dogs.
